Volunteer at the Fells with your business, scouts troop, running club, college club, community organization, youth group, or any other community group to support a variety of activities and projects.
Volunteer Projects
Volunteering with your team, business, or group is a great way to give back to nature while connecting with colleagues, friends, and fellow volunteers. For businesses that find themselves in remote working arrangements, it’s a great way to connect with colleagues and get to know your coworkers face to face!
We work with volunteers on a variety of projects across the Fells. Below are a few areas of focus:
- Invasive plant removal,
- Trail maintenance,
- Trash and litter removal,
- Support events and programs, and
- … so much more!
Read the details below about available dates, FAQs, and more information about the program and how you can sign up your group.

Program Feedback
“Really enjoyed the day! I look forward to signing up for more of these events.“ – 2023 Community Volunteer
“This is a great team building activity. The folks who work for me on a team of 14 engineers, historically have collaborated on engineering projects to increase their problem solving skills, unfortunately since the pandemic I have hired some new engineers and unfortunately much of their collaboration has been virtual. This face-to-face volunteer activity includes aspects of working together, collaborating on figuring out which tools and which strategy removes stumps most expeditiously and efficiently.“ – 2023 Corporate Volunteer
“Very well run. Our group had a great time and were proud to see all the work we did at the end.“ – 2023 Corporate Volunteer
“I felt that this event was really well organized, [the leaders] are extremely knowledgeable and not afraid to share it with volunteers, their passion for the area is so clear and motivating! Thank you for a wonderful day.“ – 2023 Corporate Volunteer
