Here in New England, as the summer transitions to Fall, we are well-familiar with the famous quote “the only constant is change”. And so with the onset of a new school year and the swift coming of a new season, it is time for us to sincerely thank Neil Anderson for his service as Executive Director these past few years. Neil is to be commended for his excellent work with us, as during his tenure he helped to secure a Cummings 100K for 100 grant, expand youth programming and associated staff, and pioneer new relationships with local businesses (including a close partnership with Whole Foods Market), as well as spearhead new programs and fundraisers. Neil – on behalf of the FoF board, staff, and volunteers: thank you. We are grateful for all you’ve given to our organization, and to our stunning urban forest.
As Neil prepares to take the next step in his legal training in pursuit of a law degree, the Friends of the Fells has busily been searching for a new, one-year interim Executive Director to help us achieve our strategic priorities and implement a new operations pathway. We are excited to announce more about our incoming leader, Ron Morin, very soon. But until then, enjoy the remainder of the summer season. Before long, it will change. But we are excited for the Fall foliage…
