UPDATE 08/08:   The Fells Summer StoryWalk® has been extended to Sunday, August 15th.
Enjoy ‘One Small Place In a Tree’ for a extra week, and be sure to sign the sheet near the kiosk when you attend!

From July 24th – August 15th, you are invited to participate in this self-led walk through the Fells featuring the book, “One Small Place in a Tree” by Barbara Brenner. Find pages of this beautifully illustrated book posted along the trail, and read about different ways of looking at nature.

About the Trail: The self-guided, sunrise-to-sunset walking tour begins on the Crystal Springs Trail at Greenwood Park (across from Stone Zoo). in Stoneham, MA.  The walk begins behind the playground, just inside the granite wall. The trail is an easy walk, about ¼ mile, and the trail CAN accommodate jogging strollers if clear of snow.

All StoryWalk® events are open to the public, self-guided, run dawn to dusk, and are free of charge.

Foster your child’s connection with nature as well as their literacy skills by participating in our StoryWalk® in the Fells!

The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, Mass in Motion, the North Suburban Childand Family Resource Network, Medford Family Network, and Friends of Middlesex Fells would like to acknowledge and thank The StoryWalk® Project, created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle & Pedestrian Coalition and the Kellogg‐Hubbard Library for their work and inspiration.
