Volunteer with the Friends at Stoneham Town Day, September 13th
The 31th Annual Stoneham Town Day is fast approaching and is now only a few days away. The Friends are still looking for volunteers to assist with our booth! The event will be held Saturday, September 13th from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with September 14th as a rain date. Our booth is located on the Town Common (Central Street and Main Street) in Stoneham.
The Friends rely on volunteers like you to help us inform the community about our programs and recruit new members.
We also need volunteers to help with setting up and taking down the booth. We have secured a tent, table and chairs from Stoneham Chamber of Commerce, so all we need from our volunteers will be to bring our crates and display boards from the Beebe Estate to the Town Day location.Set up of the booth will take place between 8:00 am – 9:30 a.m., and take down of the booth will begin at 4:00 p.m.
We are scheduling one-hour volunteer shifts for manning the booth. We would like to have at least two persons manning the booth during each hour-long time slot. If you’re interested in volunteering, representing the Friends of the Fells, enjoying this great event, and just having a good time, let us know! You can email our Volunteer Coordinator, Cherylanne with the time you can help, and your phone number so we can stay in touch.
Thanks for your help. The Friends couldn’t exist without the help of our dedicated volunteers.[Photo credit: Town of Stoneham Facebook Page]
