Hidden Treasures Week
Hidden Treasures week is a region-wide celebration of the natural, cultural and historic “treasures” located within the Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area. Hidden Treasures 2016 features a unique variety of regional treasures to explore during eight days of creative, community organized activities offered free of charge.
Saturday, May 14th–various activities throughout the park include Migrating Birds Hike, Trail Run on the Reservoir, Fells Fitness, Martial Arts in the Fells
Sunday, May 15th–activities include another Migrating Birds Hike, an Of Beavers and Burns Hike
Monday, May 16–activities include Long Pond Lady Slippers Hike, A Hike for Photography Enthusiasts
Tuesday, May 17th–activities include May Flower Tour, Hike and Seek and Babes in the Woods, Fells Fitness, Mayoral Hike with Mayors Burke and Christenson
Thursday, May 19th–activities include Spring is Exploding Hike, Hike to Wright’s Tower led by Medford High students and educators
Saturday, May 21st–activities include Migrating Birds hike, Pink Lady Slippers and More Hike, and multiple historical Wright’s Tower tours
Sunday, May 22nd–activities include 25th Anniversary Geology Hike

Join us in celebration and discovery!!
Volunteer Director Lindsay Beal has been involved since 2010 and joined the staff in 2017.Her outdoor education began while growing up in Western MA in the foothills of the Berkshires, developed while leading hikes and backpacking trips around New England for children and teens, and continues today at the Friends of the Fells and beyond.
