Volunteer Spotlight: Rebecca Redelmeier

Name: Rebecca Redelmeier

 

Town: Originally from Toronto, Canada but now lives in Medford while studying at Tufts University

 

Profession: Majoring in English and Computer Science at Tufts University

 

Involved since: Winter 2017

 

Rebecca tells us:

I’m a rising Junior at Tufts university studying English and Computer Science and am the Communications Director of the Tufts Mountain Club. I help lead programs for Students of the Fells, and write articles and blog posts for the Friends of the Fells, including a recent feature about the 1999 MIT Geodesic Observatory located in the Fells. I love bridging my interest in writing and journalism with my passion for the outdoors. One day, I hope to be able to do this kind of work professionally!

Lindsay Beal

Volunteer Director Lindsay Beal has been involved since 2010 and joined the staff in 2017.Her outdoor education began while growing up in Western MA in the foothills of the Berkshires, developed while leading hikes and backpacking trips around New England for children and teens, and continues today at the Friends of the Fells and beyond.
